Our founder’s vision is encapsulated in the phrase “Let Your Light Shine.” At Diyafah, both our staff and management are committed to fostering a holistic, student-centric approach. This entails providing ample resources and pastoral care support to ensure that our students truly feel integrated into the fabric of Al Diyafah High School, rather than merely being a headcount. Here, students have the opportunity to delve into a diverse array of academic subjects. The main channel of communication is through School Voice (SV) and the school’s ERP portal. All parents will be provided with the log in credentials for ERP and must download the School Voice application. The portal and SV must be checked daily every evening to stay updated.

Please ensure your child’s profile and parent contact details are updated. All communication via Email/SMS /SV and are done via Primary Contact as listed in the Portal.

Yes, at Al Diyafah all students are expected to wear the prescribed uniform both for on-campus classes and outside visits. We have a different uniform for the Sixth Form than the rest of the school. Students take pride in wearing their uniform. On P.E days students wear sports uniform matching their House colour. (Uniform vendor link) www.shopatsumeru.com

Attendance is compulsory for all on all school days. A student is marked absent if they fail to attend classes. An absence is only authorized for the valid reasons, as specified in the student planner, confirmed by a signed letter from Parents/Guardians or by submitting a medical letter. All students are expected to have at least 98% attendance rate

We pride ourselves on being a “SMART SCHOOL” over the years and we have invested heavily in IT staffing, IT Infrastructure, Firewall and Broadband and wireless capability across the Campus.  Diyafah Schools have been a “Microsoft Showcase School” since 2018.  Our staff and students are provided with a Microsoft M365 licenses (upto 5 devices) and 1TB of online space to hold and store materials.

Microsoft M365: Our Policy and Vision of working with MS M365 Teams/OneNote with our students is an integral part of Diyafah culture, which enabled us to successfully switch off during COVID-19 pandemic lockdown with virtual and distance education. Another contributing factor is the ongoing online training of our educators through the Microsoft Educator Center website, (MIEE) Our Staff get Microsoft (MS) certified which led to our certification of Microsoft Showcase School.

Wireless Router/Access Points: Diyafah Schools have invested in RUCKUS, a premium wireless connectivity product and our campus is currently Wireless enabled for Staff and Students to handle all workloads.

BenQ Interactive Flat Panels: Currently we have upgraded our Interactive Boards to BENQ intelligent Flat Panels (IFP) in every classroom which provides unique features for Collaborative Learning. These IFP’s facilitate teachers in preparing, sharing screen, and delivering lessons to achieve real-time collaborative classrooms.

It is mandatory for students from Year 3 upward to carry a laptop (preferred device for school)/ tablet / iPad for lessons daily which must be registered under the School’s BYOD policy. Students caught misusing their devices/accessing restricted materials will be liable for strict action including suspension/expulsion from school. Please refer to our BYOD policy

Diyafah Schools recommend the below detailed specs for a LAPTOP device.

Given the current technology advancements, it would be prudent to buy latest configurations to ensure the device is future compliant for newer applications, as well as fit for any Exams (including Boards) that could possibly get conducted online using the purchased device.  From a proctoring standpoint, a laptop is the recommended device for all Exams.

Dsafe – Diyafah safety online -has invested in Fortinet Firewalls which track and monitor all activities. Any instances of misuse or attempts to access restricted materials are swiftly detected and addressed. Students caught misusing their devices/accessing restricted materials will be liable for strict action including suspension/expulsion from school.

Beside this Al Diyafah High School has frequent seminar on Online Bullying and inform students how to manage and surf the web safely.

Health and Safety (H&S) at Diyafah Schools is managed with utmost diligence and care through our Dsafe initiative. We take great pride in our Outstanding rating for H&S, which reflects our commitment to making it an integral part of the Diyafah Culture. The wellbeing of our staff and students is always our top priority, and we go to great lengths to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone.

Assessment is an integral part of instruction, as it determines whether the goals of education are being met. Paper based assessments will be conducted on campus under the supervision of an invigilator. However, in the event of having to conduct an online assessment, all students are expected to follow the online assessment protocols dictated by the school. From a proctoring standpoint all students to use a laptop (see specification above Q 8) for all assessments.

The programme aims to support our Students to reach their full potential through developing the personal and career related   skills that they need to make a positive contribution to their communities and wider society.

What co-curricular activities are available?

  • All students are encouraged to take part in a range of co-curricular activities which are either timetabled, take place at breaktime or after school.
  • Physical Education lessons are timetabled over the week with a range of options available that include team sports, such as Hockey, Basketball and Football and individual sporting opportunities such as Badminton, sprints etc.
  • Students are also encouraged to start up clubs where they have a specific interest or talent – clubs like Debate Society, Tedx, Peer Tutoring were initiated by students of Sixth Form.  We offer students an opportunity to join (amongst others) , the Debating Society, Young Entrepreneurs, Model United Nations, Community Action, Chess Club, Mindfulness club.  A range of subject specific clubs are operated by Sixth Formers to work with younger members of the school, such as the P.A.L.S  ( Peer assisted Learning Strategies), Math Buddy Scheme, Paired Reading and the Language Ambassador Scheme.

DIYAFAH PARENT PORTAL

  • Launch the School Website www.diyafah.com
  • Click on “PARENT PORTAL” displayed on the top right corner of your screen.
  • Choose the relevant Academic Year eg. 2021-2022. This will bring up the login screen, provide the Parent username (i.e. P followed by a 5 digit number) and password provided to you by the School.( If you have forgotten your password please click on “Forgot Password” to send password to your registered email id )
  • To update your password, click on Change Password, on the Home page of Parent Portal.



The Portal view will currently have the following information:

  • Communications: All Circulars, Homework, Newsletters, Weekly planners, Policies and Alerts will be available to view.
  • Home: for centralised viewing of all currently active modules.
  • Parent Profile: lists the parents’ profile as per information held in our database
  • Student Profile: lists the student’s profile as per Information held in our current database.
  • Library: Lists all Books relevant to Student’s year group, which can be viewed and reserved online.
  • Report Cards: Displays the Students’ Internal and External Report Cards published.
  • Fees & Services:
  • Fees: Lists the School Fees as per instalments payable.
    Upon payment all receipts can be viewed and printed online at home or viewed using a mobile device.
  • Other Events/Activities: Lists all payments for internal and external events and activities hosted by the school and registered/enrolled for by the student.
  • Contacts: Lists contact details of services at Al Diyafah High School.
  • Click on the Student Profile (Displayed on left side of screen) and choose the student from the dropdown to view the information corresponding to the student selected such as report cards, fees and communications
  • Upon successful login, Parent Profile page is displayed which lists details of Father and Mother held in our database.
  • If any changes need to be made in the Student Profile page, kindly contact the Registrar.

  • Click on the Student Profile (Menu on left side of screen) and select the student for whom you would want to view the details.
  • At the bottom of the page, Photography consent declaration is available.
  • Choose Yes or No and click on Submit if you haven’t done earlier.
  • The Submit button will be available only if the consent wasn’t given earlier.
  • To access Report Cards, Click on Student Profile (Menu on left side of screen). Choose the student for whom you would want to view the report card.
  • Click on Report Cards (Menu on left side of screen)
  • Click on Internal Exams to view the relevant Report Card. For students of Year 3 onwards, External exams as well will be displayed, which holds report cards for external exams such as CAT4, GL Assessments, etc.
  • Click on Student Profile (Menu on left side of screen). Choose the student for whom you would want to view the school communications
  • Click on Communications (Menu on left side of screen) and then navigate into the specific section within such as Alert, Circular, Homework, Newsletter, Policies, Resources.
  • To check outstanding Fee details, Go to Fees & Services (Menu on left side of screen) > Fees > Invoice
  • Select the Term(s) for which you would want to make the payment and click on Confirm to Pay button at the bottom of the page.
  • Once you click “Confirm to pay” you will be re-directed into our privacy policy. You are required to Agree to the proceed. Once you agree, Click on Proceed to Pay.
  • In the next screen please enter your credit/debit card details
  • Once payment is made, your payment details will be shown on the portal as PAID.

Yes, we have a very active House system.  The House point system applies to all students in the school from Year 1-13. Every child is given a House on entry to school, and they will remain a member of this House throughout their time at school. Through this system, core values such as raising aspirations, team spirit, healthy competition and community values are instilled in students.

Our House System comprising of four houses is named after famous personalities:

Younger pupils will look up to them as role models for the School sport and they must lead by example. We expect them to take a full and active part in PE life and help with co-curricular clubs in their chosen sport.
  • Throughout the year, their role will involve helping with and organising Sports Day, running inter-form competitions, assisting at tournaments, attending our sports awards ceremony, reading out PE notices in assemblies and writing the end of term PE report.
  • House Captains apply for the role and once appointed they will be asked to sign a contract to confirm their commitment to fulfilling their duties.
